BTS

BTS or Bangtan Boys "doped" me and I'm just waiting if my dance obsessed heart will sing a different tune once their popularity wears out.

My newsfeed was filled with BTS  bits from time to time that I got curious as to why their fans were called ARMY.The fans grew like mushrooms overnight that I felt out of place for not knowing the latest craze.

I tried to listen to their Blood, Sweat and Tears song as suggested by my sister but I hardly recognize the tune. I came across with their energy-packed Fire dance choreo but I failed to appreciate it in the truest sense since I saw the video was matched to MILO's beat energy gap song which was already tiresome to listen to. The editing in this vid was insane though, spot on!

Then, I got a flood on third guy from the left stories but still, I failed to recognize the charm of the viral handsome oppa at BBMA.

Left to right: V, Suga, Jin,Jungkook, Namjoon, Jimin and Jhope

It was after watching Fight My Way drama that I traced again the song Fire because it was used by Park Seo Joon as his RFC fight entrance song.

As I searched on Youtube, my eyes were directed to a Naruto thumbnail that described a MMD attempt to simulate BTS' dance moves for Dope and the rest was history.

Currently, I found myself hooked on listening to their songs, watching the clips of different kinds of yaoi shipping within the group which is mind-boggling and disturbing, call it also crazy but their mad fandom led me to learn the differences of fanclubs and fancafes. Researching the members' profiles led me to study commonly used Kpop fan terms like ship, 4D charm, stan, bias, delulu, rude, disrespectful and more. I was surprised that the internet got loads of info about them and the tidbits were in different languages. All this madness run in my head day and night that even if my phone was turned off, my mind plays the dance routines and I sing bits of their songs to the point that my mind even can't decide which song to hum first that I end up doing a medley in my head.

Thanks to their generous but "possessive" fans.Their support was extraordinary hence I do understand now why they were touted as the group that gives the best fanservice.

I don't know but I cringe at the sweetness of these exchanges especially the part where fans put head bands or clips on their hair. I find it uncomfortable for boys to give in to requests like that but the vids like the one below would show otherwise.

The members' numerous selca and self-made videos that were uploaded on their SNS especially when they go live in V app and the countless fancams on every tv appearance and concert were testament to the strong give and take relationship of the boys and their ARMYs. I was amused on the extraordinary partnership that fans even have theories on how to interpret the music videos of BTS. Weird and hilarious, but lots of girls joined in this one of a kind rollercoaster ride.

BTS struck the balance that I was looking for from Bigbang and Super Junior. Their vocal prowess were not as perfect as Bigbang or as dreamy as Super Juniors' almost the same with what was recorded on studio voice quality.

BTS' advantage was their over-the-top dancing skills that can pull off physically demanding routine of intense stunts, pop and locks, body waves, rolls, fast solid footwork and amusing synchronicity and formation with almost 100 % accuracy and consistency.

To watch them groove gracefully while providing tons of fan love, no wonder fans kept an eye on them. The winks, lip balming, sexy hair fix, heart throbbing eye contact on the side, various aegyo and other mannerisms, all these contribute to the surge of fandom in an unexpected speed.

BTS members are good storytellers. They compose their own songs. Despite criticisms on similarities of tunes to the works of their Western influences, I appreciate their conscious effort to write well, research and read,  quoting or taking inspiration from famous writers like Nietzsche, Hesse, Kafka and psychoanalyst Carl Jung hence their songs are filled with timely, relevant societal themes not just a volume of irrational angst, inconsolable heartache or sob series of longing and regret. Their lyrics speak out of unheard emotions and repressed thoughts that matched their vocal skill.

With regard to flow of music, compared with other KPop idols, their songs do not rely on catchy beats alone. The songs are fluid in showcasing the talent of each member thus each member shines in his turn in the song. They are successful in having charming individual identities which made their group identity more solid and interesting.

There were three rappers -Namjoon or Rapmonster usually provides the theme and sets the mood, Min Yoongi or Suga reinforces the mood, and Hoseok or Jhope provides what surrounds the mood. This distinction adds to the layer of stories depicted in the song. Jimin or Chim Chim provides the tension as he sings the high notes and echoes the blinding theme. Jin's  soft and smooth timbre tames the song as he usually sings before dance break while Jungkook or Kookie provides the stable part that connects the song. Kim Taehyung (V) 's soulful, deep voice provides the surprise element of the song that represents the dominant voice or mood in the song.

Their stories do not end once conveyed in the lyrics. Their dance routines were created to match their lyrics. I learned that the choreographer discusses with the composer on how the song should be interpreted and they really spend time studying the song.

I get it now why fans have theories about their mvs and wow, they were so serious all the time with their analyses.

In short, BTS' success was examined and admired consistently on three aspects : lyrics, vocal/rap skills and dance prowess.

Here are the clips of BTS songs that led me to clean up my playlist and reorganize my music library.Vids are not mine, the ff were grabbed from Youtube. Credits to uploaders.

1. Spring Day

This song got me sold. Upon watching their live performance for this song, I desired to see more of them.I wondered what else can I expect from them.I was totally entertained that a group of seven boys can do a contemporary dance and they were proud of their choreo. They were unapologetic that they came up with this soft, vulnerable concept in contrast to the string of dances in the past that delivered solid movements and on point footwork. They traded their cutesy flirtatious expressions , playfulness, and coming of age angst which were attractive to their fans with a relatable, sincere but compelling depiction of  grief over unsuccessful fight for love.Their dance was not overly dramatic but surprisingly graceful and pleasing.

I love Psychology but this is the first time I felt uneasy that it was used in an mv.

The eerie sound added drama in this song. When my mom heard this song, she even asked me why is it so sad? Her term was "parang naghihingalo" -as if someone's dying which actually fits their absurd narrative in the mv. I was afraid of the symbols they've used- the cake, railroad track, mountain of clothes, train, abandoned motel plus the Omelas reference, staircase, carousel and the shoes that were left hanging on the tree.

The fan theories made this mv scarier.

Anyway, love the choreo a lot in this performance. They used the mv costumes.

Why are these boys so beautiful?Their skin looked soft, smooth and flawless.

2. Dope

I love the lyrics of this song, realistic and inspiring for hardworking middle class who were trapped in ridiculous expectations of the "world".

One of my favorite choreos, superb especially in the chorus part. The footwork is wowmazing-the side and back steps, crosses, robotic drops, jumps and that kick with head bang , wahh I could go on talking about their excellent hand/arm movements too. I just can't list'em all down.Every move is fabulous.

Their costumes reinforced the meaning of their song especially on the video.V's deep voice is so addictive.

It has that distinct irritating at first trumpet but that sound made this song more addictive.

I always wait  for the enemy and energy parts of Suga.

Super love their get up in this dance. I love that they dressed up the way people would casually go out for a stroll, work or hang out with friends. They do not style their hair with what-on-earth-was-that kind of thing. They also choose hair dye wisely. Love pink and orange on Jin, Jimin, and V :)

This is my most fave Dope performance.

Fell in love with Jin. He is perfect. Love his teal cap, shirt and everything. Super like their shoes especially Suga's.  Love the jacket of Jungkook and Jhope. Would love to wear Jimin's shirt.  Awesome overload!

Love Suga in this dance practice clip :) He got that wave  perfect and graceful.

Found Suga extra graceful in this fancam. Rapmon was not in the clip :( because he has other sked :( Jimin with glasses  and red hair? What an adorable sight though he missed 2:06 :).

I don't know why I find cap, oversized shirt, ripped jeans and boots attractive. Jin is love. V looked like Ji Changwook in this performance. Wahh, Suga, Jhope and Jungkook are so handsome. Jimin as always is gorgeous. I am glad that they performed their best even though Rapmon was absent because he was sick.

3. Fire

The choreo of this song is one of the best ever. The way they move their shoulders and hands especially V on the bow wow part is extremely lovely that I would go back to that part and play it a number of times each day. The incredible footwork and synchronicity in the dance break is so exciting.  The precision they've shown is outstanding. The haha/ hot chant part is heart throbbing that it always leads me to imagine how beautiful this song is if it will be used in cheer dance. It is a very addictive fight song.

Oh that heart-fluttering bultaoreune line by Suga, I can listen to it all day.

This performance made me feel like all the groups were envious that they own this song. This song seemed to be especially made for BTS that no other group can deliver justice to the song except them.

Jin was always teased that he doesn't dance well but this vid showed how dedicated he is that the best dancer in the group, Jimin, can rely on him.Jhope who assists the group's choreographer whenever they practise is on the rescue too.

4. Run

Their choreographer Son Sung Deok chose this song as one of his favorites since he was able to ask the boys to do the body wave while removing their jackets. See, I've even traced their choreographer because their dance routines are so great that I really wish I could dance too.

Oh Jimin, why so extra?Your orange hair made you more handsome. In love with Jimin's parts where he belted out "mothae". Love the chorus a lot. This song reminds me of F.Scott Fitzgerald's quote " There are all kinds of love but never the same love twice."

Murdered replay button to listen to the whole song because I can't choose the best part, all the parts are eargasmic.

Jungkook is consistent. He belts out the song though the dance moves are difficult.

Here's the link about their choreographer Son Seung Deok and I was really impressed when he shared that these boys were so committed to perfect each dance. They spent 10 hours a day practising and it took them  a month of training for a song to be showcased on stage. This kind of hard work I guess was what has fuelled the love and support of their fans.

The mv for this song is another good subject for interpretation using Psychology which again I found a bit disturbing but challenging, truly mysterious. I am so puzzled but I ran out of patience in decoding every symbol used. The fact that the mv needs the other mvs in HYYH trilogy made it exciting at the same time troublesome to decipher or I am just lazy to overthink hahaha.

5. I Need U

Learning that Mr. Son pointed out that  Jungkook has a beautiful body line which I noticed in this song, I lost count already how many times I viewed the chorus part and got envious of their dancing skill. It feels like I'm a broken record but I can't control myself from talking about their amazing dance routines. This song showcases tough body waves that even girl groups especially SISTAR in Mah Boy song can be compared. They would give top girl groups a run for their money.

Amazed too that they wore shorts during the  promo for this song.

I love the intensity, how emotionally  charged these boys execute the choreo especially the chorus part. Jungkook never fails to sing his parts well though this song demands a lot from him.

I felt sad though that this song clashed in the charts with another favorite, Bigbang's Loser.

I love this Japanese version.I like this mv than the Korean version from wardrobe to narrative, simple but moving though it retains the imagery for HYYH trilogy.

Love this clip which has Boyz with Fun song too.

6. Coffee

This song is a sweet lullaby for me.It is not only on repeat in my playlist. I used it as my notif tone for everything.Crazy? Oh I wish Jin had more parts in this song. :D

7. Blood, Sweat and Tears

This is the song that took me a long time to understand. Today, I would play it a lot especially V's parts.

The boys were in full bloom in this era. They are gorgeous in everything. The sexy dance moves, heart-stopping gaze, lip bites, and incredibly in synch turns, drops and rolls were all eye candy beat by beat.
They were all beautifully styled as if they came out from high end magazine covers.

Their charm uncontrollably exploded in this era that I didn't wonder anymore why they won in BBMA as Top Social Media Artist and why they received the much coveted Daesang award- Artist of the Year.

I even researched the inspiration for this song especially the mv narrative which the boys revealed was based on Herman Hesse' Demian. Again, the way this mv was interpreted by fans made it creepier and absurd but in good taste.

8. Not Today

Keone Madrid is another choreographer who made the dance routines of these boys remarkable. He assisted in creating the addictive moves of Dope, Blood,Sweat and Tears and Fire. This time, this Justin Bieber's Love Yourself choreographer, proved once more that BTS can showcase a Beyonce-like who Run the world feels. Super love V in this song.

It took me days to hum this song since other BTS songs were on repeat  in my head.

Suga, why so extra? Your SWAG is overflowin'.

V looked so good in head band. Their bomber jackets are to die for.

Oh boys, why so handsome? Y'all looked so polished here. Those caps looked great on V, Jin and Rapmon.

9. Boyz With Fun

Perfect good vibes song!Love this track a lot, RIP replay button.

V's super deep voice in his oh oh oh part plus Jin's sweet voice on the second hook are excellent. Jungkook's lines are my favorite, he made the song more fun by being playful with his voice that you would think a lot if it was really him who delivered those lines which sounded like a comedian ahjussi :). His lines "Sing it and One more time" are adorable. I always wait for Suga's "ah yeah".

Jimin's breathy voice and high notes are lovely. His voice makes my heart  feel like I am in a swinging hammock. Happy that there was a shot on how Jimin switched hands in holding the mic, his hands are so cute.

They seemed to really enjoy the song from start to finish, their smiles are very charming.

I live for V's unique expressions and choreo every time the group performs this song.

In the concert with live band version, the guitar in this song is madly lovely. Super funky!

10. Boy in Luv

I got addicted to this song because of V.His wae wae growl and their dance moves are so cool, full of swag at the same time I am impressed with the way they waved their bodies, how tough they are when they back stepped and did the cold shoulder shrug.

Love listening to "oppa" word especially if it was Jin's turn.

Jungkook is love especially when Jimin joins him in singing the chorus.Their blending even on high parts is heaven.

I lost count already how many times I've watched different performances of this song just to catch the clip where the group pranked V and Jimin tried to show the members' abs hahaha.

Here is the prank clip where the members sang V's parts, imitating him.Rapmon is one naughty hyung :) V is so cute.

11. No More Dream

Jimin's abs brought me to this vid hahaha. I live for that la la la moment. I super love the dance steps in the chorus, they do it smoothly and in synch.Super addicted to that turn in la la la.

The rap parts are so powerful. Suga is love. Rapmon is so amazing. Jhope is super adorable. Jungkook is so talented.

These vids left me in awe recalling that Jungkook was only fifteen years old that time.

Jimin's head tone made this song lovelier and unique.

Fell in love with this performance, they sang with live band. The bass guitar is so adorable, reminded me of Mission impossible theme -Limp Bizkit's Take a Look Around.

Super thankful to dedicated armys who compiled these beautiful, sexy dance breaks.

Jhope is the sexiest in this dance break.I was surprised with Rapmon, he was so manly in his body roll. V's shoulder moves and tongue habit shouldn't be missed. Jimin's on point but graceful arm movements are cool. Jungkook's drop and kick are awesome.

Glad to find a clip where they practised to pull their shirts up :)

12. We are Bulletproof pt.2

When you get greedy hahaha in looking for clips that BTS showed their abs, this is the song to go to :)

I love this debut clip a lot. I was four years late in enjoying their catalogue :( I heart Jimin :)

13. Danger

The dance moves in chorus are my favorite, the hand movements, footwork,ah everything. The jumps are superb. The side steps are so cool.

I love Jin's parts a lot in this song, sweet and heartfelt. Jimin's high notes remind me of Bigbang's Daesung a lot in Fantastic Baby. I love how stable Jungkook's voice is in this song.

In concert versions, I love too how lovely fans sing along to this song.

This era fulfilled my curiosity on boys' armpits hahaha.Jimin is love.

14. Just One Day

I got LSS to the word itdaemyeon because of this song. The step where Jungkook and Suga ran their fingers was a bit funny but this song is so sweet and it is a refreshing break from their too festive sound,  physically demanding title tracks.

I enjoyed more this vid because of those what you didn't notice clips :) My viewing habit ain't the same after this as I traced the other vids too hahaha and the worst part, other groups have this kind of vids too :) oh 20/20 vision please stay :)

15. NO

I love the transition in this song from heavy to slow sweet sound and those roll movements make my heart skip a beat. The boys are so beautiful in those dance steps. Oh that "we roll " parts are killin' me :) The dance break in this song is one of the best.

Oh fly raps, why so addictive? Can't live without Jin's and Jimin's voices too.

16. War of Hormone

I live for V's hello parts and Jin's smile on his seonmuriya lines :) Jungkook's lines are the best. This song is naughty but sweet or a bit similar to Filipino expression - "maginoo pero medyo bastos" hahaha.

This song is heavy and fast for me which fits the title.I pity Jimin in this song because V has to slap his butt whenever they perform this :)

Their cute expressions and Jungkook's rapping skill are very entertaining.

This is my favorite mv of BTS because of their playfulness.

Can't get enough of their aegyos in this compilation :)

17.  21st Century Girl

I live for Suga's and V's oh my lady part :)

Super love the lyrics a lot. This song is about women empowerment written by boys :) It is extra special to listen to encouraging words from man's pov right? <3

Super love their jackets.

18. Attack on Bangtan

Fell in love with Suga, Rapmon and Jhope in this song. I find their voices so unique that I can easily distinguish the rap parts. In love with rap and la la la parts. I enjoy listening to their cheer that they are Bangtan Sonyeondan.

My heart flutters every time I hear V's sorijilleo, Jimin's jedaero aradwo, Jungkook's we got fire and higher lines plus the cool side steps and shoulder moves, Rapmon's powerful uriga nugu and bangtan sonyeodancheoreom chant which was followed by soft and sweet sonyeodancheoreom by Suga and Jhope.

Jungkook is extraordinarily cute in this era. I envy the members whenever they pet him on his chin like a super cute cuddly puppy.Jungkook's voice is so young and lovely. His rap and vocal parts are both adorable.

V as always is addictive. Jin's sweet voice and Jimin's head tone made this song more exciting.

I agree with their fans that their bare foreheads mean a lot in this era that I also wish perhaps they would consider that push back hairstyle in their comeback.

Another prank clip on V by Jimin :)

19. Awake

Jin's solo is very relatable.I love the lyrics a lot. It is sad, heart wrenching, and sincere. The feels of not being good enough but you chose to try your hardest still...

20. Stigma

Until now, I am still intrigued on V's explanation behind the lyrics of his solo. I was so curious on how talented he is that I looked for this song to study his voice more. He often growls in songs especially in Boy in Luv and that addictive bow wow part in Fire. This song allowed me to listen more to his voice and boy, V is one of a kind.

21. First Love

Suga's solo and it is pure rap monologue. I love how he puts words together as if I were reading for a literary criticism assignment.

22.Miss Right

V is love.

This song is so sweet and very relaxing. The rap parts are superb.

This song makes you feel like you are the most beautiful person in the world. The kind of feels I have for Bruno Mars' Just way you are.

I love this song too when fans sing along.

23. Let Me Know

One of their slow tracks that would really convince you that they can really deliver a heartfelt performance. Jin's high notes and Jimin's head tone are so memorable.

The vocal line is extra amazing. The blending, intense vocal shifts, wow!My love for Suga, Rapmon and Jhope grew in this song..Oh my! I can't choose the fave part because this song is so perfect for emo moments :)

24. Hip Hop Lover

Super love their sound especially that tick tock base, the energy that the  boys show when they perform this song is so infectious. This song never fails to entice me to sing along with the hiphop line.

Rapmon is wowmazing.Suga is eargasmic. Jhope is addictive.

The fly raps are killin' me :) that I want to learn to rap and it must be in Korean too hahaha :)

This song made me appreciate their rap style more.So addicted to fly rap that my love for Jungkook grew. He was so good in harmonizing whether it is the ballad part or rap.

The blend in slow parts is so chill, very relaxing then Jimin raises his voice, heaven. This song is on repeat in my playlist :) In time, I'll be able to sing this hahaha.

That sudden stop though cuts the fun.Well the song has to end :)

25. For You

Super love this song in Japanese. I find this song the easiest to sing and memorize :) V's voice as always is addictive. I find Jimin's voice in chorus nostalgic, don't know why. Jin's voice is so sweet, the rap parts are super lovely.

26. I Like it Pt.2

One of their sweet tracks that would grow on you as you listen to it.

27. Save Me

I was fangirling clips of BTS' silliness when I accidentally watched this and found the Japanese base track very addictive. That cricket like sound reminded me of Mulan movie.Love their in synch turns , kicks and ninja inspired moves in this song.Love those clips too that Jungkook made fun of Jimin's dance in the intro :) Though in the clip below, V covered Jungkook's part because he was sick. V felt weird :)

Rapmon's improved dance skill is soooooo amaaaaaaazing! He is extra gorgeous!

Though I miss Rapmon here, I can't help but stare at Suga slayin' the floor and be mesmerized on how good looking V is, plus he really looked like Ji Changwook in this performance. Need I say, Jin is love and I heart Jimin. Jhope's layered look and Jungkook's simple white oversized shirt made these two extra attractive, wahhh, crazy heart I can't pick the most gorgeous.

They were complete in this broadcast however V was down in the dumps. That day, his grandma died and they filmed this in PH. He performed the best he can.

Jhope is so handsome in this broadcast.

V is love.

28. Baepsae/ Silver Spoon

BTS is so good in talking about the hardships of working class in their songs and this song is one of those tracks that hits exactly those pain points. The tune is so catchy.

Wahh, even in rehearsal, they all looked wonderful!I heart Jin and Jimin more.Jhope in bold printed shorts, say what but he looked so fun.V in square pants and hoodie sets him adorably apart. Rapmon in jumper, such a cutie :)

29. Spine Breaker

I enjoyed their concept in this video, their acting pretty summarizes all their funniest  behind the scene personalities.

Love the lyrics, it teaches the young to be mindful of  parent's hard work just to provide the family needs hence this song discourages youth to have that I spend because I earned it mindset, and to avoid following fashion trends to look cool though he or she cannot afford it.

There are beats in this song that reminded me of Dr Dre 's Next Episode. The la la la parts are so lovely.

I find their sparkly blazers distracting. Jin's choreo for spine breaker line a bit awkward. They kept their swag on la la la parts.

30. Butterfly

Whenever I read comments of fans asking for longer lines for the vocal line, I feel sad because I am afraid that the hiphop sound that made BTS famous will be sacrificed as they give in to such request. All the compositions of each member are great and interesting. It is good too that they try to incorporate the ideas of their fans into their creative output but at some point BTS needs to draw the line. What makes them BTS needs to be defined by the artist themselves overtime and if fans push them to do what they think they'll buy only, the sound that they create in the future might turn out to be a product of fan service which would either make'm or break'em for the next ten years of their careers.Music without soul.

I hope that fans would consider this Butterfly song  as BTS' sincere promise that they'll hold on to fans no matter what happens and with that, fans should let them grow as an artist without the threat of abandoning fandom because lines were not distributed evenly.

There are artists who started out strong, powerful and got a lot of things to say to the world but as they grow old, they become tamed and insecure until they were refused to be heard. Some debuted like sleepwalkers who took a chance and woke up successful but would not dare to sleep again because they are in the limelight.

BTS, as I have observed is a hybrid of hard workers who took a chance and was rewarded. They are on that stage of deciding whether they'll sleep again or forego sleep to survive. They are finding the balance on where to put their sound.

There are no small parts, only big egos and I am rooting on Suga to hold Rapmon tight so that they stay close to their original sound since they are the group's main composers.

Fans should take hints from Jimin's solo, Caught in a Lie.

31.  Caught in a Lie

I find Jimin's solo melancholic.Wahh, the feels of staying true to yourself...

32. Paldogangsan /Satoori rap

Compared with their recent performances which are if not intense, serious or dramatic, this song presents the roots of BTS as hiphop group which is slowly fading. You can sense that they are havin' fun while doin' their best.

33. Cypher Pt 3

I've read in an article that basic KPop blend must have the dance line, rap line and vocal line therefore rappers turned idols often face the challenge on how they can purely engage in hiphop style that takes inspiration from the West while they get roasted on dance parts to endure the stiff competition in the KPop scene.Rappers in the West do not dance as hard as Kpop idols.

Therefore watching BTS' rapline deliver hiphop even if they have to dance is a blast. Good thing that they can really dance.

This is one of their pure rap tracks that you'll love as you listen more.

Showmanship, stage presence and talent are factors you can't easily fake. The persistence of V to rap is incomparable.

34. Special Cut

I love this clip where the uploader compiled all the lalala parts. I hate repetitive lyrics but BTS made an exception.

I can't help but giggle whenever I read a comment that Jimin is the lalala boy :D

Jin is love. His Mario shirt is a killer :)Fell in love with Jin after following clips showin' he's willing to learn anything from surviving in a jungle, water sports in 2017 summer package, playin' guitar to deliver an acoustic performance and this time rapping. Love it every time he gives his hundred percent effort, focus and dedication.

On the other hand, Suga was 100x sweeter after singing Jin's Awake. Love it when he drops his guard as savage Suga and turn into caring Suga with a surprisingly cute sheepish smile and witty humor.

I enjoyed the reactions of other BTS members in this Home Party Festa clip.

I'm glad that Kpop legend Seo Taiji chose them to be part of his 25th Anniversary Concert. Such collab was like earning a blessing which BTS felt grateful. The members confessed that they have to learn the old school hiphop rap and dance on top of their preparations and rehearsals for their comeback. Fortunately, they gained new fans especially Jimin.

Love this practice clip...

34.  Covers

I love their take on Rainism. Rain's Bad Boy line felt like it had a second homecoming.

This clip is highly entertaining.

I  enjoyed their It's tricky dance cover which would really make you think about how different hiphop is from kpop.It reminded me of how engaged Westerners are on slow mos in fight choreography while Asians cheer on fast paced kung fu and the likes.

The show, King of Mask Singer is one of my fave music mystery shows and finding that Jungkook joined this exciting show is an amazing treat.

Jungkook is love.He sang Bigbang's heartwrenching ballad If You.

Sorry Charlie Puth but Jungkook and Jimin nailed this cover. RIP replay button.Jimin is love.Amused with how they pronounced the word "overdose." peace :)

35. Battle

Truly a fight of the century.Would have not appreciated how beautiful Block B's Her track if this battle was not staged.

36. Concert

I love this HYYH concert.Nothing beats singin', rappin' n dancing with a live band. I am a fanatic of raw performances and this is a blast.

Their rehearsal clip

I love their stylist a lot.Their visual director did a fabulous job.

I am truly impressed on how she worked on putting together clothes for these boys from those trendy bling blings, anime like high school uniforms  or black or white ensemble with heaps of swag in No More Dream era, realistic costumes to casual but fashionable teenage getup in Dope that made these boys dreamy like your kind of guy or boy next door, to studious Harry Potter like sweaters and shorts in I Need U wherein the boys' legs were prettier and sexier than mine, to loose long sleeves in Spring Day, to couture suits in Blood,Sweat and Tears, to culmination of Vogue like pictorial worthy match up of looks in Fire and Not Today.

I am too guilty spending my days and nights staring at their jackets, hoodies, cardigans, shirts, polos, jerseys, suits, sneakers, rubber shoes, boots, accessories-amazed on how can they pull off caps, bonnets, fedora, head bands, ties, scarves, handkerchief, choker, gloves, suspenders and high socks.

I am impressed how loyal V was to square pants in this world full of tight, skinny jeans.

I always find Hawaiian, elderly shirts or floral polos either too safe or out of date but these boys can wear it in style and take note whether plain, layered with long sweat shirt or tucked, they looked great.

The way pastel colors were used on their mvs is also amusing.

These boys are gorgeous with or without make up.

Those Bangtan Bombs and BTS logs are so addictive that you can't pick a bias. Each has his own charm that you'll love.

Here are my favorite Rapmon's clips. He makes a lot of sense to me.

The number of "BTS says" clips and their shows online like Rookie King, BTS Gayo, BTS Run and more reveal how cheerful and lovely their personalities are.

Love the inside jokes like V's voice is deeper than Rapmon's thoughts, Jimin's voice higher than grades, Jin's prettier than girls even on bare face, Suga's enthusiastic infires instead of inspires, Jungkook as international playboy, Jhope's dirty water, Rapmon's you got no jams comment on Jimin and his funny translation of V's thank you for giving us strength as strong  power thank you while Jin's my heart warms and feel it's beating was translated as heartbreaker and more.I can't help but laugh on comments on ISAC clips on youtube like BTS' running faster than wifi, Jungkook's like me running away from my problems and more. They won the relay thrice in a row.

Fell in love with Jin's dad jokes too. Those moments I heard them sing the 20th Century Fox opening theme using pam pam syllables, thr more I was convinced that their creativity is extraordinary hahaha.

I also admire how they celebrate each year their anniversary wherein they open up on things they need to apologize and work on to strengthen their bond. They also evaluate if the goals they set the previous year were achieved. I admire their commitment to offer not only enjoyable but relevant and meaningful music.

I feel sad too that their success was smeared with controversies like plagiarism and  disrespect toward sunbaes.

Watching these clips inspired me to deal with what I've written in my journal too.

Their teasers are so brilliant that I can't wait for their comeback in September 18...

Oh that Little Prince reference, I am stoked.

Before, the only whistle I can tolerate was Mariah Carey's but Jungkook's whistle on their newest teasers for DNA was damn so good I can't stop playing it. A bit worried becausI find Jungkook skinny in the clip.

Love the way they made a re-telling of the narrative they've established in hyyh and wings, it's like the love yourself album was that in-between at that moment phase of life, a glimpse of that transition :)

Their plan to release the official mv on ent to cover all the platforms available globally was genius. I'm learning a lot on their marketing strats.

This clip was one of the best remixes I've heard with only few tunes to work on, wowmazing.

The poster tagline to mvs, I'm moved that they're raising awareness on mental health.

I am under their love spell and I don't know how long my heart can stand still. I want this to be over soon.

jk. maybe not.save me. i'm fine.
