I was trying to recall my favorite players in different fields and I realized that the 1992 Olympic games left a lasting impression. Most of the most liked sports icons in my list gained popularity in the 90s. Let me start with gymnastics favorites Shannon Miller and Dominique Dawes. I grew up also watching the success stories of track and field athletes Lydia de Vega and Elma Muros; and Olympic silver medalist for boxing, Onyok Velasco.
